Jesus being taken down the cross as painted by Peter Paul Rubens. The panel was painted for the cathedral of Antwerp, were it still hangs today.

Two reverse glass paintings from south German of Jesus as the Man of Sorrows and Mary as the Mother of Sorrows.

Our Lady of Expectation
In this painting Mary is depicted at the centre of the Christian salvation story. She is pregnant with Christ, symbolised by the IHS. She is also in the presence of God the Father (the triangle) and the Holy Spirit (the dove).
With her right foot Mary crushes the head of the old serpert, a symbol of Satan and all evil.

Festum Ascensionis Domini
Today is the feast of Jesus’ Ascension into Heaven, as depicted on the above miniature from the Rabbula Gospels from the 6th century.
A Mexican pocket shrine with various images of Jesus, Mary and saints. There is also a mini Rosary with a small miraculous medal attached to it.
Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
